Platform for Side effects-Management, Supportive Care & Rehabilitation (CCC-SMSCR)

Rehabilitation and subsequent treatment are an essential component of a comprehensive cancer therapy.  The objective is to restore the quality of life and physical fitness for cancer patients.
The platform for Side effects-Management, Supportive Care & Rehabilitation (CCC-SMSCR) is concerned with the management of therapy side effects as well as supporting treatment and rehabilitation in the oncological therapy sector.

The platform also offers counselling in the area of social rehabilitation to inform patients about various offers which facilitate the reintegration into the social environment. This also applies for the professional rehabilitation, which enables the patients to return to their earlier job or the transition into a new career.

All occupational groups involved in the medical, nursing and psychosocial care of cancer patients are involved in the CCC-SMSCR. Among other, its objective is the joint development of interdisciplinary and multi-professional concepts.

The guiding principle of the work of CCC-SMSCR is
"Increasing knowledge - reducing distance - improving quality".

The allocation and registration of the patients at the interdisciplinary outpatient care is done explicitely via the experts of the participating disciplines (e.g. oncologists, surgeons, radiological therapists, etc.).
