Das wissenschaftliche Ziel des CCC ist es, das Verständnis der Mechanismen der Krebsentstehung zu verbessern. Die daraus abgeleiteten Erkenntnisse nutzen wir für neue Strategien im Bereich der Prävention, Diagnostik und Therapie effizient und unmittelbar für unsere PatientInnen.

Um dieses Ziel ergebnisorientiert und strukturiert verfolgen zu können, haben wir unsere wissenschaftliche Tätigkeit in zwei Forschungsgebiete gegliedert: Die Grundlagen- und Translationale Forschung sowie die Klinische Forschung.

CCC Research cluster
The objective of the cluster is the research of the mechanisms leading to the development of oncological diseases. The CCC research clusters contain clinical scientists as well as base scientists active in cancer research. Link to CCC Clusters

CCC Units
The objective of the interdisciplinary CCC Units is the networking and consolidation of all oncological activities in the various clinical sectors. This ensures the best possible interdisciplinary oncological patient care, and clinically-translational research as well as teachings at the highest academic level. Link to CCC Units

Oncological theories and know-how are collated in the CCC platforms.

Research projects at the CCC are conducted according to the Guidelines of the Medical University Vienna regarding ethics in science and research (Good Scientific Practice).
