Program

The international Summer School in Vienna is offering an intensive programme for motivated medical students in the vast field of oncology.

The aims are to help students to become familiar with cancer care in general health practice to reduce fear for patients with a malignant disease and to develop and nourish international and intercultural relationships.

The summer school will take place in the middle of July 2023.

The exact dates are: 12.07.2023 - 21.07.2023

On the last day of the Summer School (21.07.2023), students will have the opportunity to accompany experts to one of the following departments:

1. Radiology - interventional diagnostics - hands-on workshop

2. Surgery: Hands-on workshop and daily routine

3. Radiation oncology: Treatment planning and treatment delivery on site.

The lectures and workshops at the Summer School will be held by respective experts in their field and will encompass the management and treatment of the most common tumor entities following an interdisciplinary approach (e.g. surgery, oncology, radiation oncology), including some practical hands-on experience.

The Participation Fee is 450 Euros, which includes Accommodation, Breakfast and Lunch during the classes, and the activities during the social programme. Please transfer this amount under the following:
