Evidence-based guidelines are systematically implemented in the oncology care in the symptom management for cancer patients and thus ensure nursing in accordance with the best available know-how.

Haematological and Oncological Cconsultation and Information - HOBI
 
An information and consultation service HOBI was established for patients suffering from cancer in the context of a project at the University Clinic for Internal Medicine I.
Here, specialised nursing personnel provide a comprehensive range of information regarding health-relevant topics, training and counselling.
The services of HOBI are designed to contribute to the reduction of physical and psycho-social stress due to the disease and therapy and to enable patients to take health-relevant decisions and manage their daily routine with cancer.
The offer addresses patients of the University Clinic for Internal Medicine I as well as their relatives and is free of charge.
